The best for Carpet
If you have carpeting in your home, search for a robot vacuum with excellent pickup and good maneuverability scores on carpets and rugs. Many models do a good job of picking up dust embedded in low-pile carpet and some are capable of picking up heavier debris such as orzo pasta, metal screws, and pet hair. However, they can't handle small particles as well as canister or upright vacuums and can miss ground-in dirt close to baseboards and thresholds.
The best option for carpeted homes is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop that allows you to swap between an empty bin for cleaning and mopping pad that is damp. The Roborock Q Revo, for instance, vacuums and a wet mop with circular pads that spin at 200 rotations per minute. It is able to detect and lift its pads when it comes into contact with carpets, preventing the flooring from becoming wet. It is not necessary remove them or replace them each time. Ideal for Hard Floors
Robot vacuums are the ideal option for hardwood floors since they are able to easily maneuver around obstacles and not damage the floor's surface. They are excellent at of removing dust and crumbs, however they aren't able to handle pet hair and other large debris. They also lack the suction power of a high-end upright or canister vacuum, so they're not an ideal choice for carpeted rooms or upholstery that requires deep cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro mop is designed to wash hardwood floors using downward pressure, rather than simply swab them in order to remove dirt and dust. The mop pads that are reusable reduce the amount of waste, and spread germs less and can be cleaned in the docking station to save your time. The mop pads can also be cleaned and dried to stop the spread of mold.
Both the robovac and the mop can be controlled from your smartphone, making it easier to manage the device. For instance, you can, use the app to create zones where the vacuum cannot enter, label different rooms and schedule specific cleaning sessions. They are usually less expensive than the higher-end models too, although you'll need to manually empty their dirt storage compartments at the end of each cleaning session.
A few years ago, robot vacuums went through an important change. Manufacturers started adding sensors that helped them avoid household items that traditional sensors might get stuck on or run across. This has have reduced the number of times that our testers had to clean up after a robotic snag, whether it was a power cord, a toy, or piece of pet waste.
The new sensors don't solve all issues with these machines however. The less expensive models are not able to tackle the same obstacles as the older models, and they need some level of illumination to be able to see where they're moving. This allows them to avoid obstacles like stairs and other ones when working in darkness.
In addition being capable of working in dark they can also be configured to use their cliff sensors only when they're on or near the floor, not when they're above them. You'll still want to shield any mirrors that may hinder this function, however, because the lasers used by a LIDAR-based model could bounce off reflective surfaces and cause the robot to think it's in another room.
